Hooray for USA and A fun Tried It!

This time of year can always be crazy. A midst the craziness of MLK Day, President's Day, Valentine's Day, and all the winter fun, planning and organizing can be hard. In fact, you may come in to my room and find glitter and sparkles flying with all of our projects and crafting!

In this busy time of year, I always love having pre-made, standard aligned, ready to go packs! I am so excited to be a part of an amazing Educents bundle that offers just that.

Hooray for USA!

If you teach Social Studies, this pack is a gem! And if you don't, how wonderful to integrate into ELA?! AND it's 75% off if you buy it through Educents. Only $30 for ALL of these packs that cover so many holidays!

I've included probably my students favorite thing to do all year (I think I'm asked once a day when we are starting this!) Our Famous American Project! Click here to download a preview and see what's included.

The project contains 3 parts: A written report including researching notecards and making a bibliography

Creating a brochure in Publisher on the Famous American, and a Living Wax Musem where students dress

as their person and give a 30 second speech in first person.

This pack allows you to implement this in your classroom easily. Included in this pack are:

-List of over 60 Famous Americans to choose from

-Letter home to parents about the project

-What to do each day to implement

-Notecards to guide students through the research project

-A easy to use/kid friendly bibliography page

I also wanted to share a fun idea for Tried it Tuesday!
One of the things my fourthies struggle with is tracking print. For some reason they don't want to use their finger to follow along as they read (I think they think it's too "immature" for them) but then they lose their place!

So I was at my FAV place.. Target, and got a great idea to make some cute and fun print trackers! I love them, and so do my students! They can't wait to use them during guided reading, and ask to use them throughout the day all of the time! Yippee!

Here are some things I use to make them.
{Foam glittery shape pack from Target.. I just use the pointy shapes!}
{Felt snowflake stickers from Target}
{Heart stickers and paper straws from Target}

{Our Christmas print trackers!}
{Our winter print trackers}
{Our Valentine's Day print trackers}

A little hot glue, and voila! A fun and easy way to encourage kiddos to follow along!

Have you tried anything new lately? Head on over to Holly's blog and link up!

  5. I think this is the first year EVER that my fourth graders who need help tracking use them without coaxing/bribing/threatening. When it doesn't work, Target here I come! I think I'm addicted to the Dollar Spot.

  6. I never believed in love spells or magic until I met this spell caster once when i went to see my friend in Indian this year on a business summit. I meant a man who's name is Dr ATILA he is really powerful and could help cast spells to bring back one's gone, lost, misbehaving lover and magic money spell or spell for a good job or luck spell .I'm now happy & a living testimony cos the man i had wanted to marry left me 5 weeks before our wedding and my life was upside down cos our relationship has been on for 3years. I really loved him, but his mother was against us and he had no good paying job. So when i met this spell caster, i told him what happened and explained the situation of things to him. At first i was undecided,skeptical and doubtful, but i just gave it a try. And in 7 days when i returned to Canada, my boyfriend (now husband) called me by himself and came to me apologizing that everything had been settled with his mom and family and he got a new job interview so we should get married. I didn't believe it cos the spell caster only asked for my name and my boyfriends name and all i wanted him to do. Well we are happily married now and we are expecting our little kid, and my husband also got the new job and our lives became much better. His email is atilahealinghome@yahoo.com
