Monday Made It Craft Time!

First off, I wanted to thank all of you amazing followers for being patient with me lately! I know I haven't blogged as often as I'd like, but getting ready for baby, the school year, and masters has been taking up a lot of my time! I've been productive lately though and have a few fun crafts to share with you! :)

Last year I took the plunge into Interactive Notebooks and I LOVED every bit of it… well, almost! Each day I would have to control my OCD while teaching as the piles of scraps accumulated on desks and the floor. I needed a solution! When I saw these at Dollar Tree, I knew I HAD to have them!
Of course, they only had THREE in my classroom colors! Really?! And, my Dollar Tree only had these three all together. After calling around, I found more at another store about 15 minutes away, but I had to settle for different colors.

Never fear, it's nothing a little spray paint can't fix!
Hubs came to the rescue on this one! He was amazing and spray painted each of them for me. (He won't let me anywhere near any fumes during this pregnancy!)

Of course I couldn't leave them plain and boring, so I whipped up some cute labels which you can download for free here, and pulled out some fun ribbon!

My desks are in "teams" and everything is labeled that way (supplies, etc.) so I made two trash cans per team! I LOVE how they turned out and can't wait to take them into my room! I plan on having a classroom job be to "empty the trash" each day at the end of the day!

My next two made-its are anniversary gifts! The hubs and I just celebrated our third wedding anniversary, and I wanted to share the cute gifts I put together for him. :)
With Baby Cap coming at the end of October, I know this next year is going to be a whirlwind for us! I wanted to make a gift for him that would remind us to set aside time for each other, and still focus on letting our relationship grow. So, I made him "A Year of Dates" basket.

Since our anniversary is in July, I made the first date month August. Each month has an envelope with a little card in it! There's a poem telling what we are going to do. There's a wide variety such as golfing, a day at the pool, bowling with a twist, couples massage, and more! We are so excited to open one each month and set aside time to spend together. :)

If you want to make this for a gift, here's the template I used! You will just need to download the fonts. :)

My third and last made it is my other anniversary present for the hubs! I have made him one of these each year, so it has become a tradition! :) I absolutely LOVE doing it! I made a large one for our 1 year (it's about 2.5 feet long!) and then last year and this year I have done 11x17 size. I plan to do all of the "big milestones" in the larger size (10 years, 25 years, etc.) until we have a wall filled with them. They all hang in our bedroom currently!

Well there you have it! I am finally getting my craft on again. :) I have lots on the agenda this week for classroom crafts and baby room crafts, so make sure you stop by to see what I've been up to!

Weeks 24 & 25 Pregnancy Updates!

Sorry for not updating last week! It's been a crazy week. :)

How far along: 25 weeks 4 days
Maternity clothes: I've been living in coaching clothes for volleyball, so not too many right now! But I have so many cute Maxi dresses and other maternity clothes from Gap and Old Navy and I can't wait to wear them! :)
Stretch Marks: Nope! Keeping that belly butter handy! :)
Sleep: There have been a of couple nights where it's getting hard, but overall not too bad! If I wake up, it's hard to get comfy again with this little bump in the way! :)
Best Moment This week: Enjoying a celebrating of my husband and I's 3 year wedding anniversary and 10 year dating anniversary, along with baby kicking away, and LeBron announcing his return! :)
Worst Moment this Week: Hormonal emotions. Randomly I'll feel just "bleh" and it makes me laugh because my husband has a great way of making jokes to get me out of a mood. It's so weird knowing that it's the hormones making me feel this way, and trying to get outta the funk!
Miss anything? I miss eating a meal and not wondering if it's gonna give me acid reflux or indigestion. I just want to eat 3 pieces of pizza in piece! ;)
Movement: As you can see from the chalkboard, baby is kicking away non stop! I love it :)
Food Cravings: Today I caved and bought some breadsticks and sauce from Pizza Hut.. they just sounded SO good! Gotta love being pregnant!
Pregnancy Symptoms: Had a little low blood sugar scare, so that wasn't fun! Hopefully it won't happen again!
Looking forward to: Vacation with the hubs and my family coming up! It'll be our last vacation with out a little babe, and I can't wait to just relax on the beach and enjoy some time together with no other distractions. :)

Week 23 Update!

How far long: 23 weeks 5 days {hence the little baller… Hubs pointed out this was "Jordan's" week!}
Maternity clothes: Maxi dresses and skirts have been my go to! Definitely going to be pulling some maternity clothes out here soon!
Stretch Marks: No, keep lathering up with that belly butter! :)
Sleep: I have been working out lots this week between yoga, walks, and at home squats/lunges so I have been sleeping very well! My body has been so tired :)
Best Moment this Week: Starting our baby registry! I have loved watching my husband pick out baby stuff… warms my heart!
Worst Moment this Week: back pain is still not fun, so just dealing with that
Miss anything?: I literally drool over deli sandwiches… chopped ham? The temptation is real.
Movement: Baby is kicking, swimming, jumping, you name it!
Food Cravings: (Besides what I can't have) Buttery noodles!
Pregnancy Symptoms: I've never dealt with acid reflux, and with this pregnancy it is definitely no joke. Learning how to eat VERY slow, milk and antacids are my best friends.
Looking forward to: Our big 4th of July get togethers with family and friends! Everyone's in town and I can't wait to spend time with them and the hubs this long weekend :)
